East Coast Wedding Photographer: Best Job Ever?

Category : about, delaware, east coast, photography, wedding · (2) Comments · by May 5th, 2009

I ran into a high school friend of mine via facebook (hit me up!) just recently. He has since left Delaware and traveled, went to college, become an engineer, (pretty much lived THE life). He was also one of the brightest people in our class, graduating with an AVERAGE of 103.74 (ballpark).

On with the story.

He sent me a message telling me about his run through Asia and his graduate degree and super cool engineering occupation, and finished up with congratulating me on “rocking one of the coolest jobs of our graduating class”.

And he’s right. I love my job and all the friends I make and how much I contribute to a bride’s “fairytale day” while having the creative freedom and fun awarded me by being a wedding photographer. That was a run-on sentence, but it’s so hard to mention everything I love about being an East Coast (and DESTINATION!) wedding photographer in one sentence. Thanks go out to my friend and all the couples I’ve met and will meet that grant me the opportunity to have this job.

As a way to say thank you for making me an east coast wedding photographer, all wedding photography booked between April 28th and June 30th will be $300.00 dollars off of the total price. For sitting through my sappy rant, here are some shots Casey took of me recently for my “about the photographer” page, and there are more coming soon. Thanks again, all!

Casey is pretty good with a camera... got that rule of thirds DOWN! I think she should start a wedding photography business...

Our New Addition

Casey and I had recently been considering getting a playmate for our boy, Basil. This proved to be an interesting task in that I like the wrestlers and she prefers the fluffy, cuddly princess dogs. Fortune came our way when this poor little guy ended up being abandoned after his people split. You can tell he hadn’t been loved very much, but we’ve since fixed that, and he is eating it UP!

This was him pre-Casey. (pre-spoiled-rotten). We took him to a place called "Scruffy to Fluffy". How fitting!

We definitely have a "his and hers" dog thing going, huh?
